Going Off Grid Can Be Good for Business

I could hardly believe it had been a year!  An entire year since I reached out to my clients, my customers and friends, so many people I cared about.

It was on July 15th, 2010 that my whole world crumbled. I realize everyone has a different threshold for pain and my losses don’t even compare to many, but for me it was the worst day of my life and the single hardest year of my life.

For 7 years I had been living in a Spiritual bubble of sorts. Not without its challenges, but writing books and coaching people from all walks of life how to integrate their spirituality with their businesses has been an incredible life for me. To really connect individuals with Spirit and teach them how to listen and live from that amazing place 24/7. I was flying high… well off, my life in the mountains was peaceful, a real dream come true!

Without going into all the gory details, I was hurting so badly and in so much pain that summer I became angry at God. Here I felt I had given years of heartfelt service to the world so how could the Universe take from me the very thing I loved most? I cried every night for 6 months, curled in a ball most days and I walked away in anger from my “work”. I wanted nothing to do with that spiritual part of me that had seemingly forsaken me.

was guided…right? What the heck!?” Am I the

only one that’s ever felt that way?…have you

ever had a time like that?

What I didn’t know at my core, but knew intellectually …is that all the heartache, and what seemed to be so many screwed up changes in my life, were setting me up for something greater. I had gone off grid, but the Universe had greater plans.

I know we always talk about that….I liken it to labor pains. It hurts like the devil while you’re in the middle of it, you just want it to be over, but then emerges the most beautiful life you could ever imagine. I stopped crying and I started my ‘work’ of assisting others to connect and make money again. I even started connecting and writing for my self again.

With new life and a spiritual connection stronger and more mature than it ever had been before (it’s off the charts!) I was ready.  Ready to share and help the thousands of women who hold a greater vision of themselves than what they were currently living and who wanted to make a greater impact in the world; not holding back their shiny, magnificent selves, and I knew I had to work with women who were okay with making money while doing it. (I’m serious…this is a big hang up for many women).

By ‘going off grid’ I was able to get clear, the pain dropped me to a place of listening like I had never listened before.

Go Off Grid! – Seriously! It may sound counter-productive but taking the time to think, to get away from all outer influences so that you can get clear on your SpiritLed Direction is critical.  It doesn’t look or feel like action, but it is; by letting go of an idea of how your business or life ‘should’ look like, you’re allowing God, the Universe, and your Spirit to take over.

You don’t have to go through the pain or loss like I did, but somehow being beaten into the ground was the only way I could stop and change to my SpiritLed direction.  Don’t make my mistakes.  I was honestly put on this earth to make them for you.

When working with my clients one of the first steps we take is to release how we think things should be and just focus on connecting at the highest levels possible for them so they can easily ‘know’ their spiritual gifts to the world.
